Local shopping finds

When looking to rent an apartment, of course, convenience is at the top of the list. The prime reason we designed our on-premises amenities (luxurious clubhouse, state-of-the-art fitness center, resort-style swimming pool and patio, BBQ grilling stations, upscale fire pit, and more). We also wanted to ensure that right outside Molly Brook was just as convenient. Especially, when it comes to picking up odds and ends, window browsing, seeking out hard-to-find gifts and pretty much any other need you can think of under the shopping sun—it’s all here. Sure, within the heart of North Haledon, there are all types of eclectic shops. Though, when it comes to full-on shopping, we have our three favorites.

Willowbrook Mall: Since 1969, this 1,518,006 square foot area has been a shopping heaven for most local New Jersey residents as well as around the state. Currently, it has 170 plus retailers that offer everything from techy gadgets to top designer fashions and all sorts of dining options. The premier stores include Bloomingdale’s, Macy’s and the Cheesecake Factory. The Willowbrook Mall is open 7 days a week and is only 20 minutes away by car.

Gateway Shopping Center: Less than an hour’s drive you’ll find this convenient one-stop shopping oasis with everything from a Supercuts, Marshalls, Dollar Tree as well as all sorts of takeout options like the tasty Texas Roadhouse and Jersey Mike’s Subs. You can even care for your car and your pets at Petco and Pep Boys. The Gateway Shopping Center is open 7 days a week and conveniently located right off the Garden State Parkway.

Preakness Shopping Center: Last but certainly not least is the ultimate odds and ends destination—Preakness Shopping Center. Here, you’ll find 42 acres of convenience that include two banks, a Super Stop & Shop for groceries, CVS, Bath and Body Works. Plus, you can top it all off with a latte from Starbucks. The Preakness Shopping Center is open seven days a week, is only fourteen minutes away and is accessible by public transportation.
